Washington, DC – The Hungarian American Coalition (Coalition) is donating $15,000 to support the educational and cultural programs of the Hungarian Scouts Association in Exteris. The donation was approved by the Executive Committee of the Coalition’s Board of Directors at their meeting of April 13, 2007.
In a letter addressed to Imre Lendvai-Lintner, President of the Hungarian Scouts Association in Exteris, Coalition President Maximilian Teleki recognized the importance of the Hungarian Scouts Association in Exteris. For nearly 60 years, the all-volunteer leadership of this organization (based in New Jersey) has worked tirelessly to maintain the traditional values of Scouting, while continuously implementing innovative programs to provide cultural and educational enrichment to generations of Hungarian-American youth, as well as other Hungarian émigré communities on four continents.
In his letter, Teleki stated that the Coalition hopes that its current contribution will encourage others to make donations to support the Hungarian Scouts Association in Exteris in the formation of future generations of Hungarian Americans.
