Washington, DC – The Hungarian American Coalition (Coalition) is excited to announce the launch of our new website just in time for our 30th anniversary. The site will play a key role in our #HAC30 campaign as we celebrate 30 years as the largest umbrella organization representing the Hungarian American community.

Our goal was to streamline the design, make information more easily accessible and to highlight our most important projects and accomplishments. We integrated all communication vehicles, including our social media accounts and YouTube channel. Since members are our greatest asset, we added bios for all officers and Board members here to spotlight the individuals behind the immense work we do as an organization. The work of the Coalition is so broad in scope, we created three categories – Education and Culture, Human Rights Advocacy, and Community Outreach. The new website features our three educational programs – the Dr. Elemér and Éva Kiss Scholarship Fund, the Bognár Family Hungarian Scholarship Fund and the John N. Lauer Leadership Training Program – with success stories from scholarship awardees. We also took the opportunity to highlight the individuals that each program is named after.
For our flagship program, the John N. Lauer Leadership Training Program (LTP), we created a portrait hall of all interns since 2005 and drafted mini profiles for our most recent alumni where users can read about interns’ experiences and accomplishments in more detail. Click here.

We undertook the monumental task of digitizing activities, speeches and hearings from the past 30 years and uploading them to the Archive section. We featured our members’ Publications and Books; and captured wonderful memories in the Galleries section where users can go down memory lane and scroll through photos of past Coalition events. There is a separate section for our three biggest annual events of the year: Annual Gala Dinner, Annual Mikulás Dinner and Hungarian Americans Together (HATOG) Conference Series. Each page lists past honorees, keynote speakers, conferences and has pictures of highlights.
