WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Hungarian American Coalition (Coalition) continues its longstanding commitment to supporting Hungarian educational institutions and preserving Hungarian intellectual heritage through initiatives honoring the legacy of Dr. András Ábrahám, whose generosity and dedication helped support Hungarian students for several decades.
As part of this commitment, the Coalition provided a $4,000 donation to the Reformed College of Kolozsvár (Cluj-Napoca, Romania) in memory of Dr. András Ábrahám. The contribution will support the institution’s educational mission and help provide opportunities for future generations of Hungarian students.
In addition to this financial contribution, the Coalition facilitated the donation of valuable books from Dr. Ábrahám’s personal collection to the Apáczai Csere János Library of the II. Rákóczi Ferenc Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute. The donated volumes, mostly historical subjects selected by the Institute’s librarians, will provide valuable resources for students, researchers, and members of the Hungarian community.
Library Director Erika Sass expressed her gratitude to the Hungarian American Coalition:
