Preserving Cultural Identity Nationwide
Hungarian Americans Together (HATOG) is a series of conferences that bring together Hungarian American organizations, schools, clubs, churches, media, and associations to discuss how to ensure the preservation of our cultural heritage and how to address the new generations of Hungarian Americans.
The series, co-sponsored by the Coalition, started in 2008 on the East Coast with the intention to always reconvene in a different area around the United States where Hungarians live in significant numbers. In 2009 and 2010, the conference was held in the Midwest. In 2013, with HATOG 6, it reached the West Coast. In the Fall, HATOG 7 moved to the South where Atlanta was the latest host city, and in the fall of 2014, HATOG 8 returned to the East Coast. Spring of 2015 saw HATOG convene in a new state: Florida.
