Washington, DC / Farmos – The Hungarian American Coalition (Coalition) is proud to announce that it has received a $200,000 grant from the Kilroy Foundation to support educational and infrastructure improvements at Miklós Matolcsy Elementary School in Farmos through the “Egy Falu az Iskoláért” Foundation.

The grant will fund key upgrades including asphalting the lower elementary school courtyard assembly area to improve safety and accessibility, renovating student washrooms with modern tiling and finishes, and installing drywall suspended ceilings with fresh paint to revitalize classrooms. Support will also be given to the school’s robotics club, promoting hands-on STEM learning among students. The Foundation has also explored options for an outdoor LED video wall in various sizes and qualities, and it will acquire a mobile indoor projector to enhance teaching technologies.
