
Noémi Bánhidi was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary. She holds a graduate degree in International Relations from Pázmány Péter Catholic University (Budapest, Hungary). She participated in the Hungarian American Coalition’s Congressional Internship Program (currently: John N. Lauer Leadership Training Program) in the spring of 2014 and did a 4-month internship at Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN). She joined the Hungarian American Coalition as Program Coordinator in the fall of 2014.
As Program Coordinator, Noémi is mainly responsible for the following: planning and coordination of the John N. Lauer Leadership Training Program and its activities; managing the Bognár Family Hungarian and the Dr. Elemér and Éva Kiss Scholarship Funds (answering scholarship inquiries, reviewing and processing applications, preparation of materials for fundraising drive); ensuring implementation of policies and practices; managing communications through media relations, social media etc.; scheduling and organizing meetings/events and maintain agenda; keeping updated records and creating reports or proposals; organizing and managing the following events on site in Washington DC: annual fundraiser Gala Dinner, White House Briefing, Mikulás Dinner, Annual and Board Meeting; drafting and/or translating reports, press releases, memos and grant requests; and supporting growth and program development.
