American Hungarian Library and Historical Society
The American Hungarian Library and Historical Society, established in 1955 is one of the oldest Hungarian cultural institutions and one of the owners of the Hungarian House in New York City. The mission of the American Hungarian Library and Historical Society is to promote interest in and knowledge of Hungary, to gather and preserve books and material with historical value and make them available to the public. We also strive to be a center of Hungarian cultural programs, specifically art and literature, in New York City.
